Lexicon is proud to host Steel Day 2026 on Wednesday, Sept. 30, with the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and American Welding Society (AWS). Held at Lexicon's Little Rock headquarters, the day will feature the American Welding Society's Careers in Welding Mobile Exhibit. Central Arkansas schools and workforce development groups are invited to bring students to see the mobile exhibit, try their hand at virtual welding, tour the Prospect Steel shop and learn about the many professions and opportunities available in welding.
All participants will have the opportunity to earn prizes and enjoy lunch provided by Nucor-Vulcraft. The student who has the best score during the virtual welding simulation will receive a $1,000 AWS scholarship for welding classes.
