Arkansas-based Lexicon, Inc. recently revealed the promotion of Mark Bay to corporate safety director, where he will oversee safety initiatives for both Lexicon Energy Services and the company’s golf course construction division, Heritage Links.
With over 25 years of experience in construction and general industry safety, Bay joined Lexicon in late 2022 as the division safety manager for Lexicon Energy Services. In that role, he supported the vice president of safety on various projects to enhance the company’s safety practices and provided on-site safety support for the Lexicon Industrial Construction division.
“Not only does Mark have a wealth of experience and qualifications as a safety professional, but he is an avid golfer, which gives him the passion needed to succeed as he builds a one-of-a-kind safety program for the Heritage Links division and continues to lead safety efforts for Lexicon Energy Services,” CEO Patrick Schueck said.
Before his tenure at Lexicon, Bay held positions at leading firms in manufacturing, construction and engineering. He also served as a combat medic in the U.S. Navy, gaining hands-on experience in trades such as ironworking, boilermaking, crane operation, rigging and structural steel fabrication.
Bay holds degrees in safety management technology and manufacturing and industrial management from Tarleton State University. He is a certified safety manager through the World Safety Organization (WSO-CSM), a construction site safety technician (CSST), and a mobile electronics certified professional (MECP).
“Mark’s promotion underscores Lexicon’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety across all divisions,” Vice President of Safety Steve Dineen said. “His leadership and experience will be instrumental in maintaining the robust safety protocols that define our company and in developing new, industry-leading practices that continue to protect the well-being of all our employees.”
