Lexicon, Inc. has earned an Honorable Mention in Ragan’s 2025 Workplace Wellness Awards in the Mental Health Initiatives category. The national program celebrates organizations that are setting high standards for employee well-being, and Lexicon was recognized for the company’s commitment to supporting the mental health of its workforce.
The annual awards honor companies that are creating exceptional programs to improve the physical, mental, and emotional health of their employees. Lexicon was recognized for its “Strong as Steel: Building Mental Might” initiative. Launched in August 2024, the internal communications campaign was “designed to stimulate open, honest mental health conversations, provide tips and techniques to promote mental well-being, reduce stigma, and foster a healthier, more supportive workplace culture,” according to a company media release.
The leadership-led mental health campaign has also raised awareness of resources and helped employees connect to company-wide services, including:
On-site health clinic
Located at Lexicon’s Little Rock, Ark., headquarters, the clinic provides in-person mental health support and connects employees to additional resources and support.
Telehealth services
Available to employees across the state and nation, Lexicon’s telehealth services are offered to all employees, regardless of location.
Employee assistance program (EAP)
The company’s expanded EAP offers employees free access to a range of services, including financial, marriage, and family counseling.
Expanded leave options
Comprehensive leave policies create multiple avenues for employees to take off time when required.
“We are proud to be recognized by Ragan for our ongoing efforts to prioritize the mental health and well-being of our employees,” says Lexicon CEO Patrick Schueck. “At Lexicon, we believe taking care of our team means creating a safe, supportive environment where people know they are not alone and have the support system in place to help them thrive personally and professionally.”
Lexicon was among a group of honorees that included global corporations, health care providers, and nonprofit organizations.
The Lexicon family of companies provides a wide range of services, including construction management, steel fabrication, erection, mechanical installation, and plant maintenance for heavy industrial, commercial and bridge projects, as well as a full spectrum of golf course construction, renovation and management services. The company includes Custom Metals, Prospect Steel, Steel Fabricators of Monroe, Lexicon Energy Services, Lexicon Industrial Constructors, Lexicon Industrial Maintenance, Lexicon Construction Management, Heritage Links and Universal.
