Prospect Steel Welcomes Michael Saucedo as Sales Executive for Western United States

Veteran of major steel projects will lead sales from Denver to the West Coast

IRVINE, Calif. (Aug. 27, 2025) – Prospect Steel, a division of Lexicon, Inc., has announced the addition of Michael Saucedo as sales executive for the company’s Western Region. Based in Irvine, Calif., Saucedo will support clients and partners across the Western U.S., developing solutions that align with Prospect Steel’s reputation for quality, safety and innovation.

Saucedo’s career in the steel construction industry spans more than 25 years, including senior sales roles at some of the nation’s leading structural steel companies. With a background that includes welding, layout and fitting, estimating and project sales, Saucedo has led efforts on dozens of major commercial, healthcare and infrastructure developments across California and the Southwest. Most recently, he served as a business development executive at Schuff Steel, where he helped lead landmark projects such as SoFi Stadium, Intuit Dome and Wilshire Grand Center — the tallest building west of Chicago.

“Michael’s depth of industry knowledge and his proven track record in managing complex, high-profile projects make him a valuable asset to our team,” said Ryan Walmsley, president of Prospect Steel. “We’re confident his leadership and customer focus will strengthen Prospect Steel’s presence in the Western U.S. and deliver significant value to our partners.”

In addition to his professional experience, Saucedo holds several technical and leadership credentials. He was AWS certified in structural steel, rebar and sheet metal welding, has completed the FabTrol steel estimating software course and has passed the C51 structural steel license examinations from the California Contractors State License Board. He is also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie School of Communications.
