Lexicon Announces Promotions to Fabrication Group’s Executive-Level Sales Team
Strategic leadership expansion supports long-term growth and operational continuity
Lexicon, Inc. has announced the promotions of Gary Whitmer to executive vice president of sales and Hokan Amneteg to vice president of sales, both within the company’s Fabrication Group. These strategic leadership promotions will support Lexicon’s nationwide operations as it continues to grow in scale, complexity and capacity.
“Gary and Hokan have been tremendous assets to our sales team, and we’re excited to see them step into these leadership roles,” said Ryan Walmsley, president of Lexicon’s Fabrication Group. “They’ve earned the trust of our customers and teammates through their impressive work ethic and their dedication to building strong relationships. I’m confident they’ll continue helping our team grow while delivering the level of service our customers have come to expect from Lexicon.”
Whitmer, who was most recently the vice president of sales, has been with Lexicon for 14 years, advancing business development and sales opportunities across national industrial and commercial projects. As executive vice president, he will continue to mentor and consult with the sales team, while working closely with the marketing and communications team to amplify new projects.
Before joining Lexicon, Whitmer served in marketing and sales capacities at national steel, fabrication and engineering companies. He earned his MBA from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Mo., his Master of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, R.I. and his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, Mo. He is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction.
Amneteg joined Lexicon in 2023 as a sales executive, helping the company secure complex structural steel projects across the country. As vice president of sales, he will work alongside Whitmer to lead the Fabrication Group’s sales strategy, cultivate new business opportunities, strengthen customer relationships and help guide the company’s continued growth in key markets.
Prior to joining Lexicon, Amneteg served in key leadership roles, including vice president of project management and director of business development at Superior Rigging and Erecting in Atlanta. He has also held sales positions at prominent companies like Hirschfeld Industries, Canam Structural, SME Steel Contractors and Havens Steel Company. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly University in Pomona, Calif.
