Lexicon Vice President Viji Kuruvilla Recognized as American Welding Society Life Member
Industry leader honored during AWS ceremony at 2025 FABTECH Conference in Chicago
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Sept. 29, 2025) – Lexicon, Inc. announced that Viji Kuruvilla, vice president of quality, has been honored as a Life Member of the American Welding Society (AWS). The recognition took place during a special ceremony at the 2025 FABTECH Conference in Chicago this month.
AWS Life Membership is reserved for individuals who have made significant, long-standing contributions to the welding industry for 35 years as a member. Fewer than 20 professionals across the nation receive the honor each year, making Kuruvilla’s recognition a reflection of his exceptional leadership and technical expertise.

Kuruvilla joined Lexicon in 2015 and currently serves as a member of the leadership team, overseeing quality programs across the company’s fabrication and construction divisions. His career has spanned continents and includes infrastructure projects of global significance — from bridges and airports to landmark architectural structures. His areas of expertise include project quality management, quality systems certification, team development and strategic planning for high-growth environments.
Kuruvilla has been instrumental in building high-performance teams at Lexicon that deliver challenging projects safely, on time and with exceptional quality. He also serves as a member of
the AWS Board of Directors (AWS District 17) and actively champions workforce development initiatives, including training partnerships and mentorship programs that support the next generation of welders and skilled tradespeople.
The AWS Life Member honor adds to Kuruvilla’s growing list of accolades and reaffirms Lexicon’s commitment to people, quality, safety and innovation across all facets of its operations.
