Jorge Huerta Named Vice President of Construction for Heritage Links, a Lexicon Inc. Company
Veteran golf course builder brings 33 years of global experience and a decade of Heritage Links leadership to new executive role
HOUSTON (Sept. 30, 2025) — Heritage Links, a division of Lexicon Inc., has announced the promotion of Jorge Huerta to vice president of construction. A 33-year veteran of the golf course construction industry, Huerta brings decades of hands-on field experience, leadership and project management to his new role, where he will help lead day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives across the Heritage Links portfolio.
Huerta began his career in the golf industry in 1989 while attending college, launching into full-time construction work by 1992. He joined Heritage Links 10 years ago as a project superintendent and quickly rose to senior project manager. Over the past decade, he has led and contributed to several high-profile golf course builds and renovations across Florida, the Southeastern U.S. and the Caribbean.
“Jorge’s deep industry experience, unmatched work ethic and strong leadership make him a natural fit for this role,” said Jon O’Donnell, president of Heritage Links. “He brings a strong operational mindset, a relentless focus on quality and a passion for developing talent, all while fostering the type of long-term relationships our clients and teams value most.”
Huerta’s portfolio includes celebrated international and domestic projects such as Palmilla and Cabo Del Sol Ocean Course in Mexico, Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic, Karibana in Colombia, Laguna National in Singapore and Desert Mountain in Arizona.
As vice president of construction, Huerta will focus on continuing to elevate Heritage’s commitment to customer service, safety and innovation. He plans to develop younger team members by fostering collaboration, strengthening their technical expertise and ensuring they uphold the company’s high standards. He also plans to expand the use of technology to improve efficiency and client experience.
“I truly value an exceptional customer service experience,” said Huerta. “By helping our team cultivate strong relationships, deepen technical expertise and deliver operational excellence, we’re not only building outstanding golf courses — we’re also shaping the next generation of leaders in our golf course construction industry. Investing in both people and relationships today ensures a stronger, more sustainable future for our industry.
This leadership transition comes at a time of growth and momentum for Heritage Links, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary and opened a new headquarters in Houston. The company remains a trusted partner for clients worldwide, known for delivering world-class golf experiences through craftsmanship, innovation and teamwork.
