LIC built the world’s First Flex Mill® in Northeast Arkansas in phases, starting in 2014. Structural and mechanical work included melt shop buildings – EAF, LMF and casting equipment —overhead cranes; hot mill equipment – CSP caster, tunnel furnace, hot finish mill, overhead cranes; and cold mill equipment – HDGL 1, CPL 1 and overhead cranes. Phase 1 (2014-15) included 900,000 man-hours managed, while Phase 2 (2019-20) included 240,000 man-hours.
